The community of Oahu, Hawaii is mourning the death of Kalena Abelmann, whose life was tragically cut short following a car accident on Pali Highway on June 18, 2026. Just 16 years old, Kalena’s passing has left her family, friends, and community heartbroken.
Kalena was known for her courageous spirit, creativity, and adventurous nature. Ambitious and determined, she approached life with enthusiasm and had clear goals for her future. She enjoyed exploring new places, searching for unique treasures in second-hand stores, and giving back to others through her service at a local food bank. Those who knew her admired her drive, curiosity, and generous heart.
At the center of Kalena’s life was her family. She was a deeply loved daughter to Rick and Alicia, a cherished sister to Kai and Kekoa, and a beloved granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Her kindness, laughter, and free-spirited personality brought joy to countless people, and the memories she created with loved ones will be treasured forever.
Though her time was far too short, Kalena Abelmann leaves behind a legacy of compassion, determination, and love.
